• James has special expertise in alternative dispute resolution, creation of securities and their realization. He is also involved in mergers and acquisitions, insolvency, drafting of commercial and conveyancing documents. He regularly handles commercial litigation cases, arbitration, and mediation in construction disputes. Furthermore, he is an accredited mediator in Kenya and a certified executive leadership coach.

• On a part-time basis, he serves as adjunct Faculty in Strathmore Business School, where he teaches “the Art of Negotiation” and “the Art of Persuasion”. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Strathmore Law School.
• James has until recently served as the Chief Prosecutor for the Law Society of Kenya at the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal.
• He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East African Law Society, the International Bar Association, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the Pan African Lawyers Union.
